We made resevation for 25 euro. But while we are checking out. They wanted us to pay 34 euro. I showed my Booked.net reservation paper but they didn't accept the paper. We should go, not to loose time. Because we were travelling with motorcyle. So we paid 34 euro and went. Old soviet type hotel. It looks like governmental. Every personel works unhappy. It is very old. The elevator sound like it is dying. Never stay.

Fair for a few hours of sleep.
Very old rooms, not recommanded for more than 1 day. Badly needs improvment. Rates should be at half for this location at most.

Hello Everybody, I am Florian V. ( Romania) I have read ugly comments in Booked.net about the Hotel Traian and I decided to check by myself what about? I had a big surprise in terms of hotel staff ( very helpful ) , Services / facilities, Cleanliness, Comfort, Value for money, they were excellent, or let’s say very good. Yes, the furniture is quite old but functional, clean and comfortable. Yes, part of the Hotel Traian has been refurbished and you will probably notice that on certain areas. Yes, the elevator is old but still running, even some noise exist ( better maintenance necessary ), but Romania is full of this elevator model … Yes, the breakfast is a la carte ( i.e. from the menu at total value of 16 ROL ) but everything is fresh and tasty and quite enough for one person. Yes, I had an advantage, I am speaking Romanian, but it is always an advantage to speak the local language, anytime and everywhere! Obviously they need improvements but you can see there is already a start: you can choose between 2 types of rooms 2* and 3* (* = star) 3* rooms only, have wired Internet access too! Unfortunately this option is not very clearly explained from Booked.net site and can generate confusion and frustration. Have a nice trip and a nice day and don’t forget Hotel Traian for a few days stop. You will enjoy it. Best regards, Florian
